She got her very first soccer ball today! She has been in love with balls forever, but has really been into soccer balls since Maddie had a shiny pink one. We were wandering around Walmart waiting for my oil change to be finished and came upon a box of mini soccer balls. She Got to choose her own color and decided on the only pink one in the box. I really thought she would take the blue one! She picked it up first and yelled "bluuuue!" then threw in and decided on the pink. Silly girl! She has been kicking it around the house all afternoon. She even wanted to take it in the tub tonight.

We spent the afternoon playing in the backyard and enjoying the sun.
Lucy got all dirty somehow! Ew!
Nice and toasty in the sun :)
Pouring buckets down her shirt. So weird!

Clear blue skies!

 And an Abby dog too!

How freaking cute is this set?! I have enough ribbon to make 3 of these sets and I want to wear them all the time! They are so bright and fun. Especially on a cool windy day like today. Brr San Diego!

So many kissable parts!
I love her squishly little toes!
And she has the softest chubby belly. She has discovered that if she squishes it around, she can see her own belly button. Silly girl :)

We had a lunch party to celebrate Amber's birthday. When we pulled up Granpa was outside and came over to say Hi. Hannah began to freak out! OMG PEOPLE TALKING TO ME!!
We went inside and EVERYONE wanted to say hi, and she FREAKED! She was climbing me so hard it felt like she was trying to burrow inside of me. Ouch!

After a few minutes of whimpering she was fine and acting silly.
Food makes everyone Happy :)

Ugly Ugly Delicious Bread!
I just grabbed a bag of "bread" flour from the store last time and obviously it isn't a very good flour. My last 3 loaves have turned out like this. UUUGLY!
At least it was still yummy! This one was Italian Herb Bread. We had it with rotini pasta & sauce and green beans. Yuuummers!

We got to take care of Baby Skylar today! She is a chunk and a half! Oh my! My arms are sore. Hannah did pretty well, but was a little extra clingy after Sky went home.
She will be back tomorrow and Friday too!

Its been HOT here! We spent some time at the park on Presidents Day. Daddy had the day off, so we wanted to play!!

Carrying her new bucket of toys.

Swinging on the big kids swing! She does really well on it! She seemed to hold on longer if I was swinging on the one next to her at the same time.
Mommy made tons of sand turtles and they all got promptly smashed.
Peek-a-boo!! Climbing around on the playground & being adorable for Daddy :)

"I HATE Pigtails!!"

Although incredibly adorable, they only lasted until we got into the car. She then ripped them out and yelled out "UH-OH!".

Jackpot!!

I was going through some of the less explored nooks and crannys of our room and found a HUGE roll of white paper!
Super score!
So many activities!!

I ripped off the end piece (that looks like its been nibbled by more than a few bugs, ick) and she immediately wanted to "tolllor!!" (color)

(there is that pink shoe in the background, she snuck it out again!)

Sorry its blurry!

She LOVES these shoes. I don't know how I ever fit my WIDE feet into them, but I kept them anyway. Almost everyday I catch her in our room putting them on and walking around. Such a little lady :)

*Apparently no pictures were taken on the 10th... oops!*

Fancy little hair clip!

She seemed to forget that I had slipped it into her hair as we were leaving for the park.
Maybe I can start putting them in her hair more often!

18 month check up!
Reading a new book while waiting for the nurse to come tell us what we already knew, She is perfect!
34.5" tall (off the charts!!)
24lbs (@50%)
She had her very first shot that day too. Sad! Now I need to write up a real schedule of how to space them out in proper intervals. My Dr. Sears Vaccine Book is really coming in handy now.

Zoo Zoo Zoo!

We decided this weekend would be good for the Zoo. We had a 30% chance of rain and SuperBowl today, so we figured it would be pretty empty. Especially if we went right after it opened.
We were right!!
We gathered our things and made our way down to San Diego around 9 am, parked not too far from the entrance and loaded Hannah up on my back. No strollers for us this time! We weren't going to stay long since naptime would be soon.
She is such a good sport! I think she really likes being up close and warm (it was windy and chilly!) and being able to see everything. We made our way in and saw the Koalas, one was snuggling a TINY baby!! We saw the warty pigs and a bunch of different birds, bearcats and wombats then made our way over to the Rhinos. It started raining suddenly and of course I had left both umbrellas in the car! Luckily the carrier has a hood and both Russell and I were wearing hoodies, so we all stayed relatively dry. We ducked into an exhibit for Kiwi Birds and by the time we got through it the rain had stopped. Hannah loved saying Hi to all of the animals. Especially the Elephants. She loves them! "Ellas!" She wiggled her arms above the straps and strained like she was trying to reach out to them to hug them. Awww!

We saw some HUGE camels! This guy was standing right out in the front like he was in charge.

Over in the new elephant exhibit we saw Condors stretching out their wings in the morning sun and munching on some furry snacks they were just given (ick). Amazing wingspans!
We also saw several Meercat exhibits (there are at least 3 in the zoo). These guys were the cutest of the bunch. They were all drying off in the warm morning sun after the quick shower.

We finished up the trip with a stop in the petting zoo. Hannah loves running around with the goats and sheep! She kept kissing this one goat. Such a sweet little girl!
